This page explains one of the central ideas behind YourLoveCode: similarity as a multi-layer mechanism.
The 5× Similarity Rule should not be reduced to appearance alone. It describes a broader structure in which physical, genetic, social, emotional, energetic and intuitive forms of similarity may overlap.

How to read this page
This is the fifth layer of the YourLoveCode idea. It explains why similarity can be understood not as one single signal, but as a structure made of several overlapping forms of alignment.
In this perspective, physical similarity, psychological familiarity, energy patterns and intuition may all participate in the way attraction and partner formation are experienced.

The article in “Psychologie Heute”1 stated that the choice of a life partner is primarily based on physical similarity. This thesis is as obvious as it is fascinating. Is the secret to a successful relationship really to find, among millions of other people, the person most similar to us? This theory has also been confirmed by several scientific studies.
We choose spouses with similar DNA. Married couples are genetically more similar to their partner than two randomly selected individuals from the same population group, according to a study by the University of Colorado Boulder2 in the USA.
The Josep Carreras Leukemia Research Institute3 in Barcelona examined the DNA of these doppelgängers and found that people who look alike indeed share similar DNA.
“Our study offers a rare insight into the nature of human similarity by showing that people with similar faces have shared genotypes, while they do not match at the level of the epigenome and microbiome,” explained lead author Manel Esteller.
Sigmund Freud framed it differently, but similarly on another level, referring to the psychological aspects of similarity: “We do not meet by chance. We only meet those who already exist in our subconscious.”4
We have also applied the principles of similarity on both the physical and psych-emotional levels as the key to pair formation. Every person is composed of more than just physical matter — we all create a unique matrix of informational energy. This informational energy matrix is defined in our test by a series of similarity algorithms.

The complexity of partner selection will be easier to understand if we recognize the dominant role of intuition and sensory perception, which contain energy-charged information. We define intuition as the consciously and unconsciously experienced and stored information of a person, which is subject to a process of constant influence and development.
This experienced and stored information manifests itself and is documented in the form of a matrix of informational energy, which contains individual characteristics for each person.
This energy determines whether we instinctively feel similarity or closeness to a person. Similarity — whether physical or emotional — then merely serves as the final confirmation that we have made the right choice.

The 5× Similarity Rule does not claim that one visible feature determines a relationship. It shows that partner formation may involve several overlapping layers of similarity.
